FAQ
When is construction going to start?
Demolition work is scheduled to begin in December 2020.
What are the standard construction hours?
Work on site may occur within the permitted hours set in the City of Toronto Noise By-law and approved noise exemption permits. Working hours are Monday to Saturday 7am-10pm.
How long will construction last?
There are many factors that can affect the speed of construction. Generally, a project like this can be expected to take three (3) to four (4) years to complete. As the project progresses, we will provide updates on construction timelines.
How will you keep the community informed?
This website is our primary community information tool. We will be posting regular construction updates here. Feel free to ask us questions about the construction process and activities by leaving you information in the Contact Us section.
Will there be street closures?
A temporary street closure during the raising and removal of the tower crane will be required. Temporary street closures may occur outside these events due to site conditions. This is necessary to ensure both public safety and the safety of the construction crews.
These street closures will be performed in accordance with City of Toronto requirements. We will advise the community well advance of each street closure and work with our neighbours to ensure the minimum possible disruption.
Will sidewalks be closed?
Temporary sidewalk closures will be required during construction to ensure pedestrian safety. Pedestrian safety measures will include the use of temporary sidewalks, lighting, protective barriers, overhead protection, redirecting of pedestrians when necessary, directional signals and paid duty police officers when they are required.
